SUSTAINABLE WOOD PRODUCTS
Salvaged primarily from downed trees in Chadds Ford

MEET MELANIE
Melanie has a background in architecture and design, along with a propensity for building and creating. While living in her first home in Ardmore, she tried her hand at building furniture. She began big, with a six-person dining room table constructed with rudimentary tools in a shed devoid of electric. She continued making furniture, combining a growing skill with a devotion to sustainability. At this time, most furniture was constructed entirely of reclaimed wood, sourced locally, primarily from lumber headed to the landfill.
A few years later, Melanie moved to Chadds Ford with her husband and dogs. She was inspired by the natural surroundings and various downed trees on her property. She began acquiring equipment to salvage the downed trees such as a chainsaw, mini-mill, and power-carving tools. As a result, she has shifted her focus slightly from larger builds to smaller, ready-made, hand-carved goods.
